Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Related Charges
The Estevan Police Service patrol units and Drug Intelligence Unit conducted an investigation into Cocaine trafficking.
A search warrant was authorized under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act following a traffic stop involving the EPS K-9 unit where A 25 year old male from British Columbia was arrested.
The male has been charged with Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Resist Arrest and Proceeds of Crime Exceeding Five thousand dollars.
As a result of the search warrant, investigators seized an estimated street value of $35,000 in illicit drugs and an $13,500 in Canadian currency.
The male was remanded in custody and will make his first court appearance on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
