Police attended to a local hotel to a report of a belligerent female refusing to leave.  Members were able to mediate the matter and she was allowed to rent a hotel room for the night.

Police received a number of welfare check requests from individuals trying to contact family in the city.  All were located safe.

Several calls for vehicles stuck in city streets were received.  Tow trucks and road cleaning crews had stopped working for the evening and a number of vehicles were abandoned.  Crews will be out in the early morning to continue clearing streets and assist with moving vehicles. The public is being asked to not travel unless necessary. Several city streets are blocked and impassable.

Police received a carbon monoxide alarm complaint. Estevan Fire Services were able to attend and get the house to a condition that home owners could return.  Police and Fire remind the public to ensure their direct vent heaters don’t have their vents blocked.  Snow will have to be cleared away so they can get proper ventilation.
