Police are investigating a motor vehicle collision that occurred in the 600 Block of Eva Street during night shift. A vehicle travelling east collided with 6 different parked vehicles and caused damage to at least 4 property fronts.
EMS and Estevan Fire & Rescue attended the scene to assess the two male occupants of the vehicle and to ensure that the vehicles were safe to examine further. No injuries were received by either male during the collision.
As a result of the investigation, police have charged the driver with impaired driving, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and driving while prohibited. Both the driver and passenger of the vehicle have also been charged with possession of Xanax for the purpose of trafficking after an amount of this substance was located on each of them.
The two individuals were lodged in cells and subsequently released on conditions in front of a Justice of the Peace.
Two vehicles involved in the collision were damaged sufficiently that they had to be towed from the scene.
The investigation continues into this matter and additional charges are pending.
