Estevan Police Service responded to 70 calls for service over the weekend. Calls for service included traffic related complaints, individuals failing to comply with court ordered release conditions, assistance to other police agencies, keeping the peace, a report of a break and enter to residence, uttering threats to cause bodily harm.

As a result of a traffic stop in the Souris Avenue area, a 30 year old Estevan male was issued a 72 hour driving suspension, issued a summary offence ticket for possession of over 30 grams of cannabis and charged with failing to comply with with release conditions.

A 41 year old Torquay female was issued a 72 hour driving suspension for testing positive for THC on a road side screening device. Her vehicle was also impounded for three days.

Police arrested and charged a 29 year old Estevan male with breaching his conditional sentence order. He will appear in court in May to answer to the charges.

Members arrested a 24 year old Weyburn male for operation of a conveyance over .08 after a traffic stop on the west edge of Estevan. The male was issued a three day driving suspension, his vehicle impounded, and he will appear in Court to answer to the charges at a later date.

Officers attended to a residence in the 1300 block of 7th Street for a complaint of an unwanted male in a residence. A 61 year old male was arrested and lodged in cells until sober.

Police attended to a complaint in the Royal Heights area, where a 40 year old male was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. He was lodged in cells and will be released when sober.
