Police attended to a dispute and disturbance at a residence in the city core.  Police mediated the situation and sent the parties involved on their way.

Police attended to a head on motor vehicle accident with injuries on Highway 47 south, just south of Highway 18 intersection.  Both vehicles were damaged beyond repair.  Further, both drivers were injured and transported by ambulance to the hospital.  The drivers were the only occupants in the two vehicles.  It appears from initial investigation that alcohol is involved.  The matter is still under investigation.  Further details will be released as they become available.
