Police witnessed a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 4th Street and 2nd Avenue. One of the vehicles was observed to leave a stop sign before safe to do so. There were no injuries and one vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
Police hosted an open house at the Police Service. It was well attended and gave the opportunity to for members and the public to interact.
Police were alerted to a suspicious vehicle that was seen in a business lot. Police attended and located the vehicle. Police found that a lone male was stealing copper from the business. Police arrested a 38 year old Bienfait male and charged him with Theft and Possession of Stolen Property. The male was released on conditions in front of a Justice of the Peace and will be in court later in October to answer to the charges.
Police are continuing to investigate a matter where a 24 year old Estevan male was injured and taken to the hospital. The male had suffered a serious injury and remains in hospital for observation. Updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
