During the day police members were alerted to a semi trailer unit that had made a turn at 13th Ave and 6th St striking a light pole. The semi continued on out of town but was located a short distance away on 39 highway. Police were able to assist with collision reports and he was charged accordingly.
A 33 year old female from Moose Jaw turned herself into the Estevan Police Service. She had an outstanding warrant for her arrest from another jurisdiction. She was released in front of a Justice of the Peace with a future court date.
On Thursday evening police were called to a noise complaint on the north side of the City. The residents were warned about the noise bylaw.
Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on the northeast side of the City. The driver was arrested for refusing a roadside breath demand, obstructing a police officer and resisting arrest. He will face the three criminal charges along with a charge of driving while suspended. His vehicle has been impounded for 60 days.
Police were alerted to a possible impaired driver on Kensington Ave. The semi trailer unit was stopped and a 27 year old man from Minnedosa, Manitoba was arrested for refusing a roadside breath demand. He was held until sober and will be charged for refusing a breath demand and having open alcohol in a vehicle. The man had his semi unit impounded for 60 days.
