Police attended to a local multi dwelling unit to speak to a female trespassing on the property. The female was found to be sleeping in the laundry room. She was warned not to do that any further or she could get charged for trespassing.
Police attended a mischief to property complaint. Someone had sprayed the fire extinguisher throughout the building. The matter is still under investigation.
Police attended to a report of child abandonment. Police attended and turned the matter over to Social Services once they arrived.
Police received a report of fraud. The victim was asked to purchase “Google play” cards and provide the security access number to the fraudster. Police remind the public and business owners to be cautious when using gift cards in such a manner. Police even remind businesses that if someone is in their store buying an irregular number of such cards that it might be proactive to enquire with the purchaser so as to prevent such crimes.
Members attended to three separate motor vehicle collisions, two of which involved parked vehicles that were struck. The offending vehicle in one of the collisions was towed due to the extensive damage sustained. The drivers of each of the incidents were charged under the Traffic Safety Act. One driver was charged with Driving without Due Care and Attention and the other for Driving Faster Than Reasonable and Safe. The other collision was intersection related which also required the vehicles to be towed. No injuries were sustained in any of the collisions.
Members were dispatched to a residence in East central Estevan regarding a disturbance involving a male attempting to enter a residence without permission. The male, who was spoken to upon Police arrival, was sent on his way and the matter resolved without further incident.
