December 15, 2018 – Night shift

Police responded to a report of a possible impaired driver entering the city in the Kensington area. Members were unable to locate the vehicle.

Officers arrested and charged a 38 year old Estevan male with driving while impaired and operation of a motor vehicle while over .08. He was lodged in cells until sober and will appear in Provincial Court in February to answer to the charges. His vehicle was impounded for 30 days.

Members arrested a 30 year old Martensville male after he was found littering in the 1200 block of 5th Street. The male is facing charges of resist arrest and failing to comply with his court ordered conditions. He was lodged in cells until sober and will be released in front of a Justice of the Peace for court at a later date.

During the same incident 2 other males were arrested for obstructing police officers. They were lodged in cells and the investigation into their actions is ongoing.

Police responded to a complaint of patrons causing a disturbance at a local hotel. They were warned of their behaviour. No further police involvement was needed.
