Police attended to a pedestrian vs. motor vehicle accident on a business parking lot.  A vehicle was described to be passing a vehicle that was stopped for a pedestrian.  The passing vehicle struck the pedestrian.  Emergency Medical Services attended and treated the individual on scene and the pedestrian was not transported to the hospital.  The 77 year old Candle Lake driver was charged under the Traffic Safety Act and will appear in court in the new year. Police remind the public that due to Christmas there is a higher than normal volume of pedestrian traffic out as they are doing their shopping.  Extra caution needs to be exercised.
