Police received a complaint of 2 individuals in an altercation outside a residence in the downtown area. Both parties were spoken to and a male left the residence to calm down and indicated he would not return. A short time later members were called back to the residence for a report that the male was brandishing a weapon and damaging a vehicle. The male was arrested for possession of a weapon dangerous to the public. The 31 year old male was lodged in cells and will be taken before a Justice of the Peace.
EPS would like to thank the public for their cooperation during the oil and gas convoy. Members were out directing traffic and noted their were no major issues and greatly appreciated the patience of all the vehicles throughout the city.
