EPS received multiple reports today regarding scams involving Social Insurance Numbers and others identifying themselves as being from Stars Lottery. Only one instance resulted in Google Play cards being sent as payment to the scammer’s. This is not unusual for the scammer’s to request payment in this manner as they are cashed quite readily and are difficult to trace. The public is reminded not to provide any information of any kind and to report scams to the Anti Fraud Centre by calling 1-888-495-8501 as well as the Estevan Police Service.

A motor vehicle collision between a truck and a car occurred in North East Estevan that resulted in one vehicle being towed due to the amount of damage sustained. No injuries were reported.
