The Joint Tactical Support Team (JTST) is comprised of members from both the Estevan Police Service (EPS) and Weyburn Police Service (WPS). JTST members are assigned to various sections within each of these agencies and respond as necessary to emergent situations involving violence or a potential for violence.

JTST also deploys during pre-planned operations that are often related to investigations into drug trafficking and weapons offences. The training, equipment and tactics utilized by this team not only enhances community and officer safety but also increases the likelihood of the safe apprehension of high-risk offenders and preservation of disposable evidence.

The tactical team trains and deploys throughout the year with the K9 Unit, and works in conjunction with Crisis Negotiators, Tactical Commanders, and Critical Incident Command.
