
Police want to remind motorists that the new fines for distracted driving took effect on February 1. Police have already issued multiple $580 dollar tickets to local motorists.
Police attended to a noise complaint first thing Sunday morning. The people located at the residence were warned about the Bylaw.
Police responded to several calls of a moose that had wandered into a fenced yard on Henry Street. Conservation Officers attended and tranquilized the animal. With the assistance of Estevan Fire & Rescue, the moose was transported out of the City. The moose woke a short time later and ventured into a wooded area well outside of the City.
Two youths, aged 15 and 17 were charged with mischief as a result of matters reported last week. Two charges each have been laid along with two counts of theft under $5000.00 dollars. The matter is still under investigation.
