The Estevan Police Service received several reports of a Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) scam where the caller advises there is a warrant for arrest of the person answering the phone. Police are reminding the public to call if they are at all suspicious of these types of calls. There were no reports of people sending money to the suspect(s).
Police also received reports of another CRA scam where emails are sent telling the person they are entitled to a refund if they pay a fee to complete the transaction. Please call police if you are at all concerned or have questions about calls or emails that you receive. No reports of money being sent to the suspect(s) has been received so far.
Police responded to an alarm at a downtown business. The property was checked and nothing was located out of place.
