Police received a report of assault.  The assault stemmed from a domestic relationship.  The matter is still under investigation.

Police received a report of a scam.  The victim was asked to purchase Visa prepaid cards and supply the numbers off them to the caller so that the victim could received a prize that the victim was selected to win.  Once the Visa number were supplied the suspects wouldn’t respond with anything further.  Police remind the public that you do not have to supply a deposit to received a prize that you have won.  If you are approached with such a scenario it is likely a scam.  Please exercise caution.

Police, Fire and EMS responded to a motor vehicle accident at the corner of 4th Street and 2nd Avenue late in the afternoon.  There were no injuries to any of the parties involved.  One of the vehicles was damaged sufficiently enough that it needed to be towed from the scene.  A driver was charged with failing to yield right of way when turning left.
