Media Release

Police received a RID (report impaired driving) complaint.  Police were unable to locate the vehicle described by the complainant.

Police received a report of criminal harassment and further uttering threats.  The matter is still under investigation.

Police received a report of a female loitering and asking the public for a ride back to Torquay.  Police attended and spoke to the individual.  The individual was warned of her behavior.  She was given a ride to a local business and make telephone calls to friends or family to come and give her a ride home to Torquay.

Police received a report of an assault.  A twenty year old Estevan male had been previously charged with a number of criminal code offences on a victim.  He was released on conditions of no contact and further failed to attend court to answer to the charges.  The court had issued warrants of arrest for the individual.  He was then reported early this a.m. to have assaulted the same victim again.  He was arrested and will be held for court tomorrow morning on the outstanding warrants of arrest along with a new charge of breach of release conditions and a further assault.
