January 10, 2019 – Night shift

Police received a call about a possible impaired driver. Police were able to locate the vehicle due the the caller following the suspect and relaying information. Police checked the vehicle and the driver was checked for sobriety and found to not have been drinking. The driver explained that they were concerned about the vehicle that was following them. The driver was spoken to and allowed to proceed with their trip.

Police then got a call about a possible stolen vehicle. Police checked the area where the vehicle was last seen and subsequently located. The owner was notified and no further action was required.

Police also received a call about an erratic driver on 4th Street. Police were able to locate the suspect vehicle parked a short distance away. The matter is under investigation.

Police then dealt with a report of smoke coming out of a business. The caller then reported that the smoke had stopped. A check of the business did not turn up anything suspicious and it is suspected to be a heater unit exhaustion .
