A multi-agency traffic blitz hosted by the Estevan Police Service over the past two days has concluded. The Selective Traffic Enforcement Program consisting of agencies from around the province included municipal agencies, RCMP, Saskatchewan Highway Patrol, Canadian National and Canadian Pacific Police, and representatives from SGI and the Ministries of Justice and Finance.
Over the course of the two day initiative, police issued a total of 115 traffic tickets, 166 warnings and 82 inspection tickets siting defects with some of the vehicles. 83 car seat inspections were also conducted. There were no vehicle seizures or arrests made subsequent to any driving offences, outstanding warrants, or otherwise.
Thanks to SGI and all of our public safety partners for their assistance in this traffic safety initiative.
