Police received a report of a driver traveling at a high rate of speed coming towards Estevan. The vehicle was located and a traffic stop was conducted. The male from British Columbia was issued a ticket under the Traffic Safety Act.

Police received a report of Criminal Harassment. Statements were provided and that matter is still under investigation.

Members responded to a 911 call where the female was asking for assistance with another family member. The situation was mediated and no further police involvement was required.

EPS assisted another police agency in locating a person who had been reported missing earlier in the day.

Police were dispatched to a report of 2 vehicles traveling at a high rate of speed on the West side of the city. The driver’s were located and spoken to. Statements will be provided and charges are pending.

Police responded to a theft at a local liquor establishment. Statements are pending however upon reviewing the video surveillance, members were able to identify the suspect. That matter is still under investigation.

EPS conducted high visibility checkstops throughout the evening concentrating primarily on Impaired Driving. There were a number of traffic violation tickets issued as well as 1 Roadside Suspension for driving under the influence of Cannabis. Many ASD tests for alcohol were also done with all driver’s passing.

Members responded to a 911 call on the report of a male in distress at an East central Estevan motel. The male was spoken to at length before being transported to EPS where he was lodged in cells until sober.

A 38 year old male was arrested in central Estevan as a result of breaching the conditions of his Release Order in regard to his curfew the prior evening. The male was transported to EPS where he was charged and released. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Monday June 17 at 9:30 AM in Estevan Provincial Court.
