On Tuesday June 18, 2019 at approximately 9:40 p.m. the Estevan Police Service received a report of a disturbance at a residence located in the south end of the city.
Upon arrival a female was located outside the residence. It was evident that the female was a victim of a stabbing incident. The 25 year old victim was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital and subsequently air-lifted to Regina for further treatment. The victim was last reported to be in stable condition.
A 34 year old male was located and arrested in the area a short time later. Detectives from the Estevan Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch continue to investigate at this time. The male remains in custody and there is no risk to public safety. The victim and accused are known to each other.
No further information will be released at this time to protect the identity of the victim and the integrity of the investigation.
