Police Respond to Firearm Related Incident
At approximately 0635 hours this morning, members of the Estevan Police Service received a call of a male walking with a firearm in the Pleasantdale area. A description was provided and police were able to locate the suspect at his residence.
A 39 year old Estevan resident was arrested and later released with a number of charges under the The Wildlife Act.
Investigating members were able to determine the suspect had discharged the firearm in the city, dispatching two small game animals. The firearm and game animals have been recovered and seized.
Local Conservation Officers assisted with the investigation.
