The Estevan Police Service dealt with 63 occurrences over the weekend. Those occurrences ranged from suspicious persons, reports of mischief, driving complaints and 20 tickets were issued under the Traffic Safety Act.

On June 22nd, police were dispatched to a business parking lot for a suspicious person. Members attended and 2 people were arrested- an 18 year old male from Pheasant Rump First Nation was charged with breaching his conditions as he had a weapon on his person. A 19 year old female from Arcola was charged with 2 counts of possessing a prohibited weapon and also a weapon dangerous to the public. Both were released with a court date to speak to those charges.

Police were dispatched for a report of a male trespassing on private property. The male was located and issued a ticket for Trespassing.

EPS was kept busy as a result of last night’s storm. We received numerous alarm calls due to the hail and attended to several reports of downed power lines and debris from the strong winds.

We would like to remind the public use extra caution and to watch for City Crews as they work to get all of the debris picked up.
