Police arrested a 16 year old youth at the Estevan Comprehensive School (ECS) following a report of an imitation firearm being pointed at a teacher.  Investigation into the matter has led to a charge under the Criminal Code of  “Assault with a Weapon or Imitation of a Weapon” (Section 267).  The youth has since been released to the care of his parents.  Investigation into the matter is continuing.

Police are also investigating a separate incident that occurred at ECS as well.  A 17 year old youth has been charged with ” Common Assault” contrary to Section 266 of the Criminal Code.  The Estevan Police Service remains committed in working with our schools to create a safe a secure environment.

Members attended to a motor vehicle collision between two vehicles in south central Estevan.  A northbound pickup truck proceeded from a stop sign and collided with a westbound pickup truck. Minor injuries to both drivers were treated on scene by EMS. Both vehicles were towed due damages sustained. The driver of the northbound truck was charged under the Traffic Safety Act for proceeding from a stop sign before safe to do so.
