Police assisted Estevan Fire Services with a fire in a residence in the Westview area of the city. Police attended to direct traffic.
Police attended to a commercial business alarm. Police determined the alarm was caused by staff. No further action was taken.
Police received a request for assistance as the home owner had an unwanted guest. The guest left prior to police attending once the guest learned the police were being called.
Police received a RID (Report and Impaired Driver) complaint mid afternoon. Police located the vehicle. The driver had been consuming alcohol but blew under the legal limits. A 29 year old Oxbow male was the passenger in the vehicle. He had outstanding warrants from several other jurisdictions along with being on conditions not to consume alcohol. The male was arrested and later released on new charges to appear in Estevan Provincial Court in early May.
Police received a driving complaint in relation to vehicles being driven on city boulevards adjacent to city residences. The matter is still under investigation. Police remind the public that it is unlawful to drive on city property when it is not a road surface designed and used for that purpose.
