Police received 50 calls for service over the weekend.  A number of the calls for service were storm related matters.  Some where abandoned vehicles and some were in relation to snow removal or non-removal.

On Monday morning police received a report of a driver failing to remain at the scene of an accident.  Police were able to identify a suspect and attended to find the individuals vehicle at home with consistent damage.  The driver was charged with failing to report an accident and released for court.

Police received a report of a disturbance in the Pleasantdale area of the city.  Police obtained a statement on assault and a counter statement of mischief from the other party involved.  The matter is still under investigation.

Police received a report of an elderly individual being defrauded money.  The individual had purchased amazon gift cards and gave information to the fraudster to give them authorization to use the cards.  The matter is still under investigation.  Police remind the public that if someone is getting you to pay for something with amazon, apple, or gift cards they are legitimate.  Don’t give them information and to report it to police.

Police attended to a disturbance in the south end of the city.  Police mediated and returned later in the day to keep the peace while a party removed property from the residence.
