As a result of a traffic stop in the early hours of March 19, a 17 year old male from Coquitlam, British Columbia has been charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with Trafficking in Cocaine, Possession for the Purpose of trafficking in Cocaine, and under the Criminal Code with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Failing to comply with his Probation Order. The youth has been remanded in custody until March 19th for a show cause hearing.

Police issued summary offense tickets to 2 drivers for exceeding the speed limit by more than 35 km, after they were observed at a very high rate of speed while east bound leaving the City. Both drivers were issued fines of $578.00 and will appear in Traffic Court in May to answer to the charges.
