A 47 year old Estevan man was arrested as a result of multiple files regarding thefts occurring throughout South Estevan in 2018 and 2019. The male will be remanded into custody until Monday May 27 at 9:30 AM for his first court appearance.
Members attended to a motor vehicle collision in East Estevan where one person was transported to hospital for minor injuries. Matter remains under investigation with charges pending.
A scam was reported regarding false Publisher’s Clearing House prizes won. Fortunately no information or money was given.
Another attempted scam was reported where money was requested, but fortunately, nothing was provided.
Police received a driving complaint of a truck that had been driving fast and also was very loud. Police weren’t able to locate the vehicle until a while later. The vehicle was again observed driving faster than the posted speed limit. The driver was stopped and charged with speeding and given a warning and inspection ticket for faulty vehicle parts.
Police were later called to an open garage door in a residence. Police checked out the area and spoke to the homeowners and found that the door was left open accidentally and that there was nothing missing. No further action was required.
