Police responded to a complaint of a noisy party in the 1300 block of Nicholson Road. The home owner was warned of the bylaw.
Officers received a complaint of a male yelling in the Bannatyne and Albert Street area. The area was patrolled but the male was not located.
Members arrested and charged a 34 year old Bienfait male with impaired operation and refusal to provide a breath sample after a RID (report impaired driver) call about a vehicle in the Perkins Street area. He was lodged in cells until sober and will be released for court in December. His vehicle has been impounded for 30 days and his driver’s license suspended indefinitely.
As a result of a traffic stop in the Willow Park Greens area, a 27 year old Estevan male has been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and failing to comply with an undertaking to a Justice. He was released and will answer to the new charges in December.
A 29 year old Estevan male was issued a 72 hour driving suspension and the vehicle he was driving was impounded for 3 days, after he was checked by officers during the high visibility check stop at 9th Street and 13th Avenue. Impaired driving remains one of the leading causes of criminal related death in Canada. As a result, police will be continuing to conduct check stops well into the new year.
