Update- Police Presence in Willow Park Greens

****Update**** June 29th, 2023, 0800 hours

Police have laid charges against three individuals in relation to the search warrant execution at a Willow Park Greens residence.

57 year old Jody BONNOR is facing the following charges, including weapons charges under the Criminal Code;

– two charges: section 96(2) Possession of a Firearm Knowing it was Obtained by the Commission of an Offence in Canada,

– one charge: section 91(1) Possessing a Firearm Without a License,

– one charge : section 117.01 Possess Firearm While Prohibited From Doing So,

– one charge: section 266 Committing an Assault.

Stacey JACKSON (34) is facing;

– two charges: section 96(2) possess firearm knowing it was obtained by the Commission of an Offence in Canada,

– one charge: 91(1) Possessing Firearm Without a License.

Ashley MEYERS (22) is facing:

– one charge: section 129 Obstructing a Peace Officer.

Jody BONNOR remains in custody and will make a court appearance this morning in Weyburn Provincial Court.

Stacey JACKSON is currently in custody and will be released later today with a court date of August 21st, 2023.

Ashley MEYERS has been released with a court appearance scheduled for August 14th, 2023.

Additional charges may be determined as the investigation into this matter continues.

**** Update**** June 27th, 2023, 1414 hours

An investigation is underway following a police response to a residence in the 100 block of Willow Park Greens around 1000 hours this morning.  Police executed a search warrant on the residence which involved the Weyburn/Estevan Joint Tactical Support Team (JTST), EPS K-9, Crisis Negotiators, and other support teams.

The response teams have since cleared however the area has been barricaded for the time being as investigators continue to process the scene.  Although no risk to public safety exists, police are asking the public to avoid the barricaded area to allow for on scene investigators to process the scene.  Further details with respect to the search warrant execution will be forthcoming.

Estevan Police Service members are currently dealing with a matter in Willow Park Greens area. There is no concern for public safety, however police are asking the public to remain clear of the area at this time. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
