Traffic Services

The Estevan Police Traffic Services’ primary focus is improving the safety on the roadways in the City of Estevan. The traffic unit is dedicated to proactive traffic initiatives and traffic enforcement.

The members of Traffic Services have been provided with additional equipment to assist in their duties including; automated license plate readers, stationary radar signs, laser speed detection, and in vehicle mobile work stations. Members of the unit receive ongoing training related to traffic enforcement and safety.

The Estevan Police Traffic Services Unit works in partnership with other traffic units including the Estevan RCMP and Weyburn Police as part of the Combined Traffic Services of Saskatchewan (CTSS) to conduct joint operations within the City of Estevan and other communities and highways within Southeast Saskatchewan.

Members of Traffic Services conduct multiple impaired driving programs throughout the year in an effort to reduce impaired driving. Enforcement of impaired driving is only one part of the battle against impaired driving. Education and prevention are the true target of the Estevan Police impaired driving strategies.
